Responsible to HR Manager Description Responsible for the transactional activities of the Human Resources department including pay changes, job changes, terminations, status changes and benefits administration. Serves as a resource for employee inquiries. Responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. JOB DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE 1. Ensures that all salary and rate information is accurately stored in the HR database for proper payroll processing. 2. Responds to inquiries and requests for information related to employment (i.e. pay rates, status changes, etc.). 3. Processes all transactions related to employment from hire to termination including: status changes, salary changes, transfers, multiple jobs, position changes and promotions. 4. Directs and/or attends and actively participates in meetings/conferences. 5. Performs other duties as assigned to support the entire department and works on special projects. Requirements 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field preferred. PHR or SPHR certification preferred. 2. Two (2) years experience as a Human Resources Representative/Generalist or Payroll Specialist. 3. Extensive and expert knowledge of all employment related regulations. 4. Excellent communication and presentation skills. 5. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization. 6. Ability to use computers and generate various reports, spreadsheets and other documents utilizing various software packages and systems. 7. Ability to set priorities and forecast needs. 8. Demonstrates strong ability to make decisions and judgments; attentive to details and assumes accountability for consequences of actions taken. |
