Job Description:  Description

This position provides support and technical assistance to all Amedisys system users.
JOB DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE
1. Serves as a front line point of contact for all Amedisys employees for all software, hardware or system functional requirements.
2. Effectively resolves problems and follows the correct Escalation Process outlined by the Support Division.
3. Successfully documents each problem and makes recommendations to supervisor as to program upgrades, fixes or repairs necessary to reduce/eliminate future problems.
4. Repairs, modifies, and upgrades equipment/hardware as needed for re-issuance.
5. Evaluates systems and answers compatibility questions in all locations to ensure all hardware and software is in proper working order to minimize disruption to business operations.
6. Continuously updates knowledge of information systems and technology to keep pace with technological progress and business needs.
7. Attends and actively participates in meetings/conferences.
8. Exemplifies ability to exude performance through various outlets that are based on a metric system.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
10. Serves as Tier II level support for all software, hardware or system functional requirements.
11. Maintains a strong knowledge of system’s functions, capabilities and limitations to effectively respond to inquires.
12. Installs new hardware and/or software and trains end users as necessary.
13. Assists with system or software testing and implementation.

MST Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field of study or hold current technical certifications.

2. Four (4) to six (6) years experience in computer support or computer training.

11. Experience with incident management and problem management process as it relates to best practice frameworks such as ITIL v3 and Cobit


3. Knowledge or experience in using IBM compatible equipment/systems/printers, Windows XP and 07, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco Routers & Switches, Windows Server 2003/2008 and CITRIX.
4. General knowledge of installed hardware/software systems, networks and peripherals.

5. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.

6. Good verbal and written communication skills.

7. Demonstrates ability to perform problem determination services.

8. Demonstrates ability to provide required maintenance and maintain hardware inventory.

9. Demonstrates the ability to adapt to a changing environment and pick-up additional skills.
