Description This position is responsible for the design and development of in-house software applications. Candidates must be competent in most phases of the software development lifecycle and must be able perform under moderate supervision. JOB DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE 1. Develops and debugs new or existing software applications with minimal supervision at various levels of complexity while maintaining a high level of quality. 2. Reviews business requirements and prepares design specifications for developing new or enhancing existing software applications. 3. Analyzes complex problems and recommends approaches and solutions to management. 4. Identifies and/or resolves programming problems in order to provide continuous business operations. 5. Assists in deployment of newly developed software applications and/or enhancements. 6. Understands and contributes to company and departmental goals and objectives. 7. Attends and actively participates in meetings/conferences. 8. Performs other duties as assigned to include work on special projects. MST Requirements QUALIFICATIONS 1. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Prior experience in designing and developing complex software applications from detailed specifications. 3. Strong development skills using Microsoft C# .NET is required. Prior work experience in other development environments will be considered on a case by case basis. 4. Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio is required. 5. Experience with more than one of the following .NET technologies is a plus: a. .NET 4.0 b. LINQ c. Entity Framework and SilverLite d. Windows Presentation Foundation e. Windows Communication Foundation 6. Experience with more than one of the following tools is a plus: a. Microsoft Team Foundation Server b. Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 7. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies (design, code, source control, quality assurance, test and deployment). 8. Experience with relational database products such as MS SQL Server is required. 9. Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work well 10.
